Rockers Edge Orioles as Puerto Rican Day Parade Goers Look on

Marlena Kotynski pitching on June 13th5 Rockers hits combined with some missed defensive opportunities by the Orioles in the early innings, gave some trouble to Charlene Scangorella in her 2004 Orioles pitching debut.  But Charlene and the Orioles kept their cool and with some closing scoreless relief pitching by Marlena Kotynski, the Orioles came back to make it close in the 7th.  Charlene led-off the 7th with a line double.  After one was out, back-to-back singles by Marlena and Suzanne Smith scored 2 making the score 8-3.  Suzanne moved to second on the second out and then scored on a double by Carolyn Benenati.  A ground-out ended the Orioles rally.
